The Toy Breeds.....
These tiny wonders have been bred down over the years to be pocket size companions. They work well in both the city and suburbs. They are ideally suited as a family pet in areas where they are not allowed room to roam. Over the years many of these breeds have been bred down from their larger cousins. For example the Pomeranian is obviously a Nordic dog bred to a petit size and the Toy Poodle is a carbon copy of its larger relatives. These dogs preserve the nature and temperament of their larger ancestors but in a pocket size. There are 21 breeds or varieties in the Toy Group.
