Labrador Retriever Book Will Keep You In Stitches! Author/knitting designer/dog breeder, Peggy Gaffney’s second book in The Crafty Dog Books Series takes the Labrador Retriever from the show ring to knitting design haute couture sweaters for owners who truly love the breed. Illustrated with more than 50 photos by the noted dog photographer Betty Schmidt. The Crafty Labrador Retriever – Knits, transforms action to design. Peggy Gaffney describes activities enjoyed by Labs and their owners, in stories and photos. However, She has taken it one step further, and designed those events as charted intarsia knitting patterns. The knitting charts portray Labs in conformation, obedience, agility, hunting, flyball, dock diving and more. The book includes directions for many sweaters and accessories on which knitters may work the designs. Gaffney hasn’t forgotten readers who don’t know how to knit. She tells how to work the over 20 different pattern charts onto readymade sweaters, using duplicate stitch.
...which are then turned into knitting designs.
Peggy
Gaffney has been showing dogs for 37 years
and over the last 10 years, she has
